- 100 ml espresso coffee (= 2 cups)
- 300 grams of white sugar
- 250ml whole milk
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of butter
- 1 tablespoon flour 00
- 1 egg yolk
To prepare your coffee candies, first prepare the coffee.
Once ready, put it in a saucepan with all the other ingredients, turn on the heat and keep stirring until the mixture begins to boil.
At this point, boil for half an hour over low heat, so that the mixture becomes thick. When you see that it is thick, pour the candied coffee mixture into a rectangular saucepan previously lined with baking paper. When the mixture has solidified a little, carefully transfer it to a work surface using parchment paper, which will remain as a base. Now, with a knife, cut the hardened mixture into strips about 1.5 cm wide, first vertically and then horizontally, to form squares. Now let your coffee candies cool completely. When they are well cooled and hardened, wrap them one by one with parchment paper. These are little delicacies to share with whoever you want, in a gesture that gently takes us back in time: the gesture of unwrapping the sweets.
